Protecting your privacy and thus your data is important to us and we make every effort to protect your personal data and information. You can read more about how we process your personal data in our Privacy Policy.

By agreement with the test laboratory Bioarray and Born Donorbank, the genetic GeneMatch test of you and the sperm donor is performed by Bioarray. This means that when you submit the test with your genetic material to Bioarray’s test laboratory, you share your personal, including genetic, data with Bioarray. A consent form is enclosed in the test kit, which you must sign and send to Bioarray to give your consent to share your data with Bioarray. Bioarray is an independent data controller in this connection. In the consent form you can also read more information about how Bioarray processes your personal data.

When we order the GeneMatch test from Bioarray, we must disclose your name, address and e-mail address to Bioarray, among other things for the purpose of the return label on the test kit. When you order the test, you also agree that we may disclose this information to Bioarray.

Genetic test disclaimer (Disclaimer)

Non-diagnostic: The purpose of a GeneMatch test is to determine if you and a potential sperm donor are a genetic match for the more than 400 recessive inherited diseases covered by the test. A GeneMatch test is not a diagnostic tool and should not be used as the sole basis for medical decisions. If the test shows that you have an X-linked disease, the result should be discussed with a healthcare professional with expertise in genetic counselling for proper interpretation and advice.

Limitations: The results cannot predict all possible genetic conditions or disease risks.
