Sperm donor – a choice for life

When you are treated here at Diers Klinik, the choice of sperm donor is yours.
 
We have a collaboration with Born Donor Bank and Livio Sperm Bank. This means for you that you can reserve a sperm donor from these two sperm banks directly with us. In this way, you save transport costs etc., and you do not need to pay for anything before the actual treatment. We will have the donor sperm ready for you when you come for treatment at the clinic.
 
 
You also have the option of choosing a sperm donor from other sperm banks, e.g. European Sperm Bank or Cryos International. Here you are responsible for the purchase process yourself and also for ensuring that the donor sperm is sent to us at the right time prior to your treatment.
  

Sperm Donor Categories

You can choose between open (ID-release) or closed (No ID-release) sperm donors. The choice is entirely yours, and we will gladly guide you on the meaning of the various categories.
 

Sperm donors from Born Donor Bank

At Born Donor Bank you can choose between the following sperm donor categories:
 

ID-Release donors (with an extended profile)

From the age of 18, the child can receive information about the sperm donor’s identity through Born Donor Bank. You will find information about the set worldwide limit for the number of families per donor, if any, on the donor profile from the sperm bank.

No ID-Release donors (without an extended profile)

The donor remains anonymous, and the child will thus not be able to obtain any identifiable information about the sperm donor. You will find information about the set worldwide limit for the number of families per donor, if any, on the donor profile from the sperm bank.

On Born’s website, you will have the opportunity to register and see all the donor profiles completely free of charge, before you make your choice.
 

 

Sperm donors from Livio Sperm Bank

At Livio Sperm Bank, you can choose from a wide selection of open sperm donors.
 
The following applies to Livio’s donors:
  • From the age of 18, the child can receive information about the donor’s identity through Livio Sperm Bank. The sperm donor may help a maximum of 25 families to have a child or children.
You can recieve basic information on these donors. Most also provide baby photos, and on some donors it is possible to recieve a personality analysis.
